Dashboard Automation Engineer

The Product:

FlexTCA is our Post & Pre-Trade transaction cost analysis and execution quality management solution. It provides historical and real-time analytics across global equities, FX, futures, and fixed income, helping investment managers and brokerages analyze, evaluate, and improve trader, algo, broker, and venue performance through an intuitive web-based analytics and visualization interface.

Role Objective
This role is intended for a hands-on Python engineer who will help scale FlexTCA reporting operations through automation. The engineer will work closely with Animesh Gupta, who will train and manage the role, with a focus on Sisense administration, Elasticube builds, dashboard deployment, production troubleshooting, and operational monitoring.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based automation used to deploy, migrate, validate, and maintain FlexTCA dashboards across Development, UAT, and Production environments.

• Administer and support the Sisense reporting environment, including dashboard configuration, access management, user onboarding, security setup, and operational support.

• Extend native UI capabilities to enhance user experience and address client requirements.

• Create, run, troubleshoot, and optimize Elasticube builds, data models, dashboard datasets, and related reporting dependencies.

• Perform dashboard deployment, customization, migration, and lifecycle management for internal teams and client-facing reporting workflows.

• Develop and maintain SQL / T-SQL queries, stored procedures, validation checks, dashboards, and reporting extracts.

• Monitor and build process automation around dashboard jobs, report delivery, data refreshes, production alerts, and log/report emails to ensure timely and accurate reporting output.

• Diagnose report issues, including data discrepancies, failed refreshes, missing values, performance bottlenecks, incorrect formulas, visualization defects, and access issues.

• Troubleshoot frontend and backend issues within the reporting stack, coordinating with data engineering, DBA, infrastructure, and support teams as needed.

• Build reusable operational tools for dashboard diagnostics, environment comparison, validation, deployment tracking, and support automation.

• Document dashboard support procedures, recurring diagnostics, deployment processes, production checks, and known issue resolutions.

• Partner with product, analytics, engineering, and client-facing teams to translate reporting requirements into scalable and maintainable automation solutions.

• Contribute ideas for applying LLMs, AI agents, and agentic workflows to areas such as report diagnostics, support triage, test generation, data validation, and operational automation.

Required Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in software development, data engineering, reporting automation, or BI platform support.

• Strong Python programming skills, with demonstrated ability to build scripts, automation utilities, data validation tools, or API integrations.

• Strong SQL skills, including data analysis, debugging, joining datasets, validation, and reporting workflows.

• Experience working with reporting, dashboards, analytics, or operational data platforms.

• Ability to work in Linux / Unix environments and investigate logs, scheduled jobs, and production support issues.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the judgment to distinguish symptoms from root causes.

• Clear communication skills and willingness to coordinate with engineering, analytics, support, and client-facing stakeholders.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience

• Sisense administration, dashboard development, dashboard migration, or Elasticube build experience.

• Experience with BI platform user management, access control, dashboard sharing, or production support.

• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, data profiling, or Python-based data analysis.

• Familiarity with ETL workflows, data quality checks, data warehouse concepts, or production reporting pipelines.

• Exposure to financial markets, trading analytics, TCA, market data, or institutional reporting workflows.

• Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, AI-assisted development, or agentic workflow automation.
