TEAM: Platform Engineering & Infrastructure Engineer.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer who has architected & implemented solutions to manage a 24/6 infrastructure. This includes managing/implementing monitoring platforms, automating recovery, and constantly improving resiliency and uptime capabilities of the SAAS infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a monitoring platform, a proactive monitoring strategy for both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Develop and implement ‘best practices’ processes, policies, and procedures to ensure uptime and resiliency of IT Systems.
• Develop automation to ensure post upgrade checkout processes and recovery capabilities.
• Develop and implement automated processes for DR activation.
• Create reports and dashboards to provide insights into the performance of IT systems and applications.
• Monitor systems and applications for performance issues, diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
• Configure and customize monitoring tools that encompasses infrastructure components, application performance & business process monitoring. Examples include server monitoring, network monitoring, application performance monitoring. and protocol specific (FIX) latency monitoring.
• Work closely with other teams within the organization, including developers and network engineers, to ensure that monitoring solutions are integrated seamlessly with existing IT infrastructure
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in IT systems monitoring.
• Implement a continuous improvement discipline to constantly analyze weaknesses in the infrastructure, and proactively improve resiliency and uptime capabilities.
• Develop and maintain detailed and accurate documentation of appropriate systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer with strong knowledge in network and server infrastructure, including cloud-based environments
• Experience implementing monitoring tools such as OpsRamp, LogicMonitor, Graphana, Geneos
• Strong experience in the following technologies – VMware, Linux, Windows, Docker, Puppet and Terraform.
• Experience in Cloud technologies including AWS, Azure.
• Experience architecting highly available systems with failover capabilities including active/active; active/passive and other resiliency technologies.
• Experience configuring/customizing monitoring tools.
• Experience with one of the following scripting languages such as Ansible, PowerShell, Python.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Self-starter. Ability to work independently, take ownership and execute through completion.
• Financial Technology background with experience working in extremely urgent environments.
• Industry certifications such as ITIL, or MCSE are a plus.
• Develop and maintain detailed and accurate documentation of appropriate systems.
• Platform knowledge and/or certifications around Service Now, Project Management.
• Strong Attention to detail.
