Responsibilities:

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible to ensure functionality of company’s financial software by verifying that programs function according to specifications and standards, developing software test plans, procedures and validation summary reports. Responsible for identifying, documenting and following through to resolution, software defects identified during all testing phases.

As a Sell-Side QA Engineer, you will be an integral part of our brokerage house's technology team, ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and compliance of front office systems used by traders. You will work closely with traders, developers, and stakeholders to maintain and enhance these systems, including program trading and algorithmic strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Front Office Systems Testing:
  2. Collaborate with traders and developers to understand system requirements and business processes.
  3. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for front office systems.
  4. Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to validate the stability and reliability of trading platforms.
  1. Exchange Connectivity:
  2. Verify the connectivity and data flow between front office systems and various exchanges.
  3. Test order routing and execution processes to ensure seamless trading operations.
  4. Monitor exchange-specific compliance requirements and ensure adherence.
  1. Understanding Trading Floors:
  2. Familiarity with different types of trading floors, such as agency floors and trading floors.
  3. Collaborate with traders to gain insights into their workflows and needs.
  1. Trading Account Management:
  2. Understand how trading accounts are created, managed, and monitored.
  3. Validate account-related functionalities within front office systems.
  1. Program Trading and Algorithmic Strategies:
  2. Test program trading and algorithmic strategies for accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and optimize algorithmic trading code.
  1. Algorithmic Trading Reporting:
  2. Utilize Algo-LOW (Algorithmic Trading Reporting for Low-Touch) and other reporting tools to verify trade execution and compliance.
  3. Generate and analyze reports related to algorithmic trading activities.
  1. CAT (Consolidated Audit Trail) and ACT (Alternative Compliance and Trading) Reporting:
  2. Ensure compliance with CAT and ACT reporting requirements.
  3. Validate data submissions and reporting processes to regulatory bodies.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  2. Maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  3. Provide clear and concise reports on test results and defects to stakeholders.
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
  2. Work closely with traders, developers, and business analysts to address issues and enhance system functionality.
  3. Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to relevant stakeholders.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance and testing within the financial industry, with a focus on front office systems.
  • Familiarity with brokerage operations, trading floors, and exchange connectivity.
  • Knowledge of program trading, algorithmic strategies, and algorithmic trading reporting.
  • Experience with Algo-LOW, CAT reporting, and ACT reporting is a plus.
