About the Role

We are actively seeking an experienced client-facing front-office electronic trading technologist for a unique opportunity to join our sales team working with across our suite of highly customisable order and execution management systems used by some of the largest institutions in the world.

As Senior Sales Engineer your primary responsibility will be to ensure the sales team can demonstrate our product’s full capabilities and breadth of function across all supported asset classes and workflows.

You will be responsible for developing proof-of-concepts for both prospective clients, and in-house subject matter experts, as well as drawing on your own technical and electronic trading experience.

You will collaborate with 3rd party vendors and brokers, to incorporate their services into our product, to ensure we are continuously improving and extending our products.  Everything from vendor research, outreach, through to workflow design and implementation, and eventual production deployment is included.

Ideally, you should be confident to take your own initiative around product direction and join the sales team in pitches as technical consultancy.

You need to be comfortable working in a dynamic environment across asset classes: priorities will change as active prospects move at different speeds, and you’ll have to turn your hand to a variety of different technologies depending on the task. 

FlexTrade is a fully programmable, open architecture platform, deployed tailored to the client, so you need to be comfortable working in code, understanding APIs, and architecting solutions.

Ultimately, this role is crucial to maintaining FlexTrade’s position as a best-in-class trading system and will directly contribute to the overall success of the business.

Responsibilities

• Own the product demo environments end-to-end, working with technical teams and product owners to implement new features and protoypes
• Design, build and deploy tailored solutions for client demonstrations
• Build out bespoke functionality for prospective clients, as part of a proof-of-concept
• Integrate the latest product functionality, developed across regional teams
• Formulate business and workflow requirements into technical solutions
• Use design and development skills to solve complex problems across many different platforms
• Integrate 3rd party platforms which complement FlexTrade’s offering using new technologies
• Providing consultancy to sales on all aspects of the software and delivery with technical depth and understanding
• Identifying partnership opportunities with complementary companies

• Technically adept across multiple technologies including C++, .NET, JavaScript, Python
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate solutions to colleagues
• 5+ years’ experience in front-office trading technology
• A passion for technology, and deep curiosity for how things work
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented, desire to deliver results
• Ability to communicate confidently and concisely to both business and technical clients
• Comfortable in Linux and Windows environments
