FlexONE Team:
We are looking for talented developers who are passionate about technology to work on FlexTrade’s OEMS platform, FlexONE, which is our state-of-the-art, fully integrated Order Management System (OMS) and Execution Management System (EMS). Our team is responsible for the development of the firm’s flagship, buy-side OMS.
Responsibilities:
You will work in a fast-paced, financial software development environment and be expected to:
- Become the subject matter expert in using our server-side API, which clients heavily rely upon to programmatically interface with FlexONE.
- Communicate effective API usage to clients and internal resources via written documentation and by providing working code examples.
- Assist our support team in troubleshooting issues raised by clients.
- Collaborate with, support, and mentor other members of the team in matters related to the API.
- Design and implement new API features and bug fixes using technologies,s including Scala and gRPC.
- Review the accuracy of sample code generated by our AI-driven API assistant and investigate ways to help increase its productivity.
Job requirements
While we believe a great developer will pick up and grow skills as needed, minimum requirements for this job include:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in CS or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Expert level understanding of one or more programming languages (C#, Python, Java, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of API design fundamentals.
- Excellent knowledge of the documentation, packaging, and distribution of API artifacts for use by one or more languages.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas, problems, and solutions.
- Motivation and determination to achieve, learn, and grow.
Desirable Skills:
- Expertise with both C# and Python.
- Experience with functional programming concepts (Scala is a plus).
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience in Financial Services, Mathematics, or related fields.
