The Team

Our SaaS Operations team works collaboratively across the globe, with local teams in every office providing operational support in a rewarding, fast paced environment.

 

About You

Located in our Great Neck Office, Long Island, we are looking for a System Administrator with a focus on supporting our Windows estate, although with exposure to all aspects of SaaS Operations. You will be open to working on Saturday in place of a day of your choosing in the week, initially each week although potentially moving to a rotation system in the future. In addition, you will have a background in Microsoft Windows with experience in supporting, troubleshooting configuring, and installing Windows Servers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team. You will have excellent attention to detail and be able to prioritize your workload, whether it be production escalation issues, tickets or wider projects.

The Windows Engineer position will work directly with our internal teams and management to support and enable our external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Working from a ticketing system, troubleshoot and administer Microsoft Windows 2012, 2019, and 2022 environments globally.

  • Assist with the setup and configuration of Windows servers in collaboration with FlexTrade teams.

  • Provide advice and guidance on deploying Windows services and migrating products to leverage available services.

  • Use PowerShell scripting to automate repetitive tasks across large IT estates.

  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies related to Windows.

  • Ensure effective and timely communication on issue remediation and request fulfillment.

  • In rotation be a primary point of contact for incidents across our estate of Windows, Linux, Storage, Networking, Citrix, and Virtualization systems.

  • Working Saturdays to complete planned work (any day in the week can be chosen to take off in place.

Job requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years’ experience working as a System Administrator/technical support related role – ideally within an environment providing services to external customer.

  • 2+ years’ experience in supporting Windows Server.

  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2019 and 2022.

  • Familiarity with basic networking principles.

  • Working knowledge of basic Citrix principles and troubleshooting.

  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Certificate Management.

  • Proven ability to communicate professionally and timely on complex topics.

  • Experience working from a ticketing system, including queue management.

Desirable items

  • Knowledge of formal IT Service Management principles, ideally ITIL certified.

  • Experience with providing some level of support across Linux, Storage, Networking, Citrix and Virtualization.

  • Experience working within a Citrix environment (on-prem/hybrid/cloud) utilizing NetScaler including setup, troubleshooting and SAML configuration.

  • Experience of configuration management systems.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
